1. If you are a writer, what is the first story you wrote? Are you proud or ashamed of it?

If I recall correctly, it was a fan-fiction where my friend and I got transported to Middle Earth and landed in Rohan where we ran into a rather dashing member of the Rohirrim. That didn’t get too far. Thankfully. It will never see the light of day. 

2. If a big publisher offered you a multi-book deal but you had to radically change what you’re writing, would you take it?

No, because it wouldn’t be my story anymore. 

3. If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be?

Tough question. I would change how far the world has fallen away from God. I think that’s the main reason for so many of the problems in the world today. We fix that, we’re on the way to fixing the world. 

4. What made you start blogging? And have you ever considered giving it up?

I started blogging as a way to promote my first book, The Rise of Aredor, over a year ago and I haven’t really slowed down. I don’t think I will ever consider giving it up! My blogging has really taken off in the last few months and sometimes it seems like there aren’t enough days in the week to post! 

5. Do you enjoy listening to music? What genre/type?

Yes! I listen to music almost constantly. I alternate between Country/Western and Soundtrack. Usually the latter for when I’m writing or studying. 

6. Introvert or extrovert? Or somewhere in-between?

We had to take personality quiz thingees earlier this summer for one of my classes and I came out as an introvert. I think it suits me quite well, but I’m also very outgoing when it comes to my family and friends. So I guess I’m kind of in-between but closer to introvert. 🙂

7. Is there a book that you’ve read cover-to-cover more than once? What is it?

Just one? Shadow Hawk by Andre Norton is my favorite to re-read. There are many others though. 

8. Do you have a toy from childhood that you still own and cherish? (Mine is a Superted cuddly toy. 😀 )

I keep a stuffed panda bear that I’ve had forever on my bed. But my favorite toy is one I called Dr. Bear. It’s a little bear dressed in green scrubs. I got him when I was about three when I had surgery on my eye to correct my lazy eye. He’s safely stored away right now. 🙂

9. If you had a time machine, what would you do with it?

Go back and see if the King Arthur legends are true and what the true story is. I love King Arthur and believe that he existed. I’d use the time machine for confirmation. I might do the same for Robin Hood. 😉 

10. Finally, what’s the one thing you would tell your past-self it you could?

Be braver, I guess. Because I can be really shy in new situations or around people I don’t know so well, I tend to watch from the background. So I’d tell past me that it’s ok to jump in and live closer to the edge. 🙂 I should actually tell present self that too… 😛

Here are 7 sentences from my Camp NaNo project currently titled Sleeper in the Standing Stones. (This is the Sleeping Beauty re-telling.)

“Ianto will be there in a week as well, and you know he’d never let anything happen to me.”

“That’s the truest thing you’ve said all morning.”

Álainn moved closer to her mother and took her hand.

“Mother, please don’t worry about me.”

“I’m your mother. It’s my duty to worry about you.”

Álainn laughed and kissed her on the cheek before turning the conversation to something she knew her mother would like.

How’s that for informational? Haha! I’ll work on an official Camp updates post (since Camp is almost over) and give some better excerpts.
