The Forgotten Blog Tags

I’m kind of embarrassed. I got tagged for two blog tags quite a while ago and forgot about both of them until I saw the links nestled among comments the other day. So here I am, doing them now.

The lovely moosha23 over at All Things Wordy tagged me for the More Happy Than Not tag. The rules basically are to finish the sentence I’m More Happy Than Not When…

I’m more happy than not when

I get to hang out with those special people that I call my best friends.

I’m more happy than not when

I’m writing! Duh. But seriously, when I’m in the zone and everyone is behaving as they should be (or actually surprising me in a good way), I’m very happy.

I’m more happy than not when

My whole family gets together (ten total now plus a brother and sister-in-law!) and we all cram together in one room and chat until it’s super late at night.

I’m more happy than not when

Watching some of my favorite TV shows. Except when they make me cry which does happen occasionally. Although sometimes its pretty cathartic.

I’m more happy than not when

Someone tells me they enjoy something I’ve written, especially the books that have been published.

I’m more happy than not when

I see a patient getting better. I got to experience this during my clinical and can’t wait until I’m a practicing PT. I know there will be patients who don’t get better, or just kind of get better, but it makes me truly happy to see a patient comes in and tell you that the previous treatment worked and they feel better.

I’m more happy than not when

Eating, honestly. Specifically things that taste like hamburgers, or pizza, or Blue Bell ice cream.

I’m more happy than not when

I see stories about people doing something kind for a stranger. It makes me believe that good people still exist.

Ok, I’m a very happy person in general so I’ll cut off the feel-good at this point. 🙂 Since this only took me forever to do, I’ll leave this one open to whoever wants to do it. Make sure you link back so we can all see what makes you happy! 🙂

Next up we have The Amazing You tag from Gabrielle over at Write For The King.

This tag has ten questions, which you never have to change, and here are the other rules

  1. Thank the person who tagged you
  2. Include the picture in your post and tag it with “amazingyou”
  3. Answer the questions
  4. Tag as many people as you want

1. You’re on a deserted island, and you find a cave. What would you expect to find in it?

Cave drawings telling me the location of an ancient treasure. A quest will obviously be in order.

2. If you could have one superpower, which would you pick?

Being stretchy like Elastigirl would be cool. Either that or being able to run really fast.

3. What one song would you choose for the theme music for a movie about your life?

Beethoven’s 5 Secrets by the Piano Guys. Or something from the How To Train Your Dragon soundtrack.

4. You can only wear one color for the rest of your life. What color would you pick?

Green.

5. What’s one thing you want to do that’s wild, crazy, or unusual?

I want to learn how to drive a chariot and participate in a race.

6. If you had to give a speech to the whole world for five minutes, what topic would it be about?

Probably something along the lines war doesn’t solve anything and we’ll only find peace through belief in Christ.

7. You get to have lunch with any three famous people, present or past! Who would you pick?

Robert E. Lee

J.R.R. Tolkien

Padre Pio

Although I have no idea what I’d say to these people. I’d probably just sit there in awkward silence. 😛

8. What is your favorite smell, and why?

My mom makes granola and I absolutely love the smell of it baking in the oven. It smells like cinnamon and honey and home.

9. Share one of your favorite quotes.

“Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the assessment that something else is more important than fear.” – Franklin D. Roosevelt

Or the version from the Princess Diaries.

“Courage is not the absence of fear but rather the judgement that something is more important than fear; The brave may not live forever but the cautious do not live at all.”

10. Give us two true statements about yourself and one false statement, and see if your followers can guess which one is false.

  1. I love licorice.
  2. Gladiator is my favorite movie.
  3. I don’t like putting butter on my bread.

I’m not tagging anyone for this one. See the explanation for the previous tag. If you recognize the not tagging thing as a common theme on this blog, just know that one day I’ll be more prompt will my replies at some unknown date in the future and I’ll work on tagging people then. 🙂

  1. Hey! I don’t like putting butter on my bread, either! *highfives* I usually avoid putting butter on anything unless it comes in the dish or something. :p ‘
And I feel like being the Super Elastic girl would creep me out. xD “Wait… How is my hand over THERE?!” Hehe.

  4. I guessed #1 to be the lie, and I was right! 😀 The old, original licorice I used to like, but not the stuff they have nowadays, ugh.
Eee, Tolkien and Robert E, awesome! And green, yes I love greens. I totally forgot that quote was from Princess Diaries, it’s among my fave. 🙂 These were fun tags to read.
