I’m Baack!

Howdy!

So I got called out by my sisters for not posting anything last week, so here you go, guys. πŸ˜›

An updatish sort of post.

School’s going well. Just busy and constantly telling myself all the pain and agony will be worth it one day. I haven’t actually had any tests for the last two weeks. You know how when you have a break coming up after a really busy time and you think “oh yeah, so much time! I’ll get ahead on everything and do so much writing!” and what actually happens is you do nothing of the sort? That happened. Netflix happened. Reading some books happened. Laying on the couch and staring at the ceiling happened.

Did any writing happen? Barely. Did any advanced studying get done? Barely.

Did watching the season premiers of Arrow, The Flash, Supernatural, and discovering a new show Blindspot happen? Absolutely.

You get the idea. The worse part about all this time off is that I didn’t even want to write. Isn’t that the worst thing you’ve ever heard? Basically none of my projects held any interest, words were hard, and I didn’t care about anything. Anyone else have that problem? I wanted to get a lot done, but it didn’t happen. And I’m not one of those who believes in pushing through. Maybe I should. Anyway, now that tests are starting back up, I’ll want to write EVERYTHING but have no time. This is probably why I won’t try NaNoWriMo for a long time.

So, how’s everyone else doing? How are your writing projects going? Are you doing NaNoWriMo next month?

  1. Sometimes we all just need a break. Don’t beat yourself up. πŸ™‚ And yep, currently neck-high in nano prep. I too go through phases where I don’t want to write, usually I’m exhausted and stuck. I’m hoping that doesn’t happen during Nano. πŸ™‚

  2. Yep, I did the same thing as you when I was on vacation–No writing whatsoever! All thoughts of responsibilities out the window! πŸ™‚ And honestly I think that’s what time off is for. Sometimes your brain just needs a change of pace, doing things you wouldn’t normally do.
As for my WIP progress? Slooooooooow like a snail (mostly because I had to rethink quite a few things), but it’s looking better, I think. πŸ™‚
