Howdy!

I got tagged by both Gabriela at A Heart Redeemed and Morgan Huneke for the Infinity Dreams Award! Since I got tagged twice, I’m going to kind of smush things together. Some of the questions are similiar, so we’ll see how this goes.

Facts:

I don’t like putting butter on my bread. Unless it’s toast and then that’s acceptable.

I don’t drink coffee or tea. I don’t really like hot drinks.

I want to hike every mountain range in the U.S.

I also want to hike along Hadrian’s Wall in the U.K.

I basically live in sweatpants during the winter. Except when I go out in public. Usually.

I think our vacuum cleaner looks like a Dalek.

I’ve never been out of the U.S.

I’ve never gotten a speeding ticket. (Fingers crossed I didn’t just jinx myself.)

I love taking naps.

Sometimes I look for magic portals to take me to a different world.

I want a German Shepherd. Badly. When I get one, I will name him Beren after Beren and Luthien.

What is your favorite thing to blog about? / What do you like about blogging?

Favorite thing? I discovered I really enjoy doing comparison posts. Like my Princess Bride or Gandalf post. But I also really like participating in book tours!

Who is your favorite fictional character?

Ooh, that’s hard. I love Eomer from LOTR. But one of my all time favorite books is called Shadow Hawk. I love the main character, Rahotep. He’s awesome.

What is your favorite hobby?

The only ones I really do these days are reading and writing. Since school’s started back up I read a little more than I write, so we’ll go with that.

What is your biggest pet peeve?

Right now, since I live in west Texas and it is so dry here during the winter, my biggest pet peeve is how static-y my hair is. ALL THE TIME.

If you could visit one place on earth, and only one, where would you choose?  

One place on earth I’d go is Machu Picchu. I was recently talking about it with a friend and it made me want to go even more.

If you had a TARDIS (time machine/spaceship), where would you go? / Would you rather time travel to the past or the future? Why?

If I had a TARDIS, I’d ask the Doctor to take me back to see King Arthur because he’s real. Or Ancient Egypt. I’d rather go to the past just ’cause I don’t know if I want to know the future. Spoilers. 😛

What’s one movie coming out in 2016 you want to watch?

Captain America: Civil War. I’m sure there are others, but it’s the only one I can think of right now.

Is there anything that you “fangurl” about? If so, what?

I’m not obsessive about things, buuut, I really enjoy talking about The Blades of Acktar, The Katiller (seriously check out this series!) Arrow, The Flash, Supernatural, Merlin. And my sisters say I fangirl over cute guys. So you can refer to all of the above for the cute guys I like. 😛 I also like talking about biology and anatomy because it’s awesome.

What is your least favorite holiday?

Valentine’s Day. I think it’s stupid if I’m being completely honest.

What do you want to be when you “grow up”? / What do you hope to be when you are “grown-up”?

I’m in school for Physical Therapy, so that’s really what I want to be. I also get to be an author, so how cool is that?

If someone offered you a million dollar inheritance if you would drive twenty bucks (as in deer) across Alaska, would you do it? (I know it sounds weird, stems from a game of Balderdash.)

Haha! Can I have help? I’d do it just for the challenge I think and to ride across Alaska (another place I want to visit). And probably get really frustrated. 😛

What genre of books do you like best to read? / What is your favorite genre of books that you like to read?

Fantasy! Although I do enjoy historical fiction.

What is your favorite movie? / What is your favorite TV show? / Do you prefer movies or TV shows?

Movie – Gladiator, with How To Train Your Dragon in close second. TV show – Firefly. And Supernatural. I don’t know which I prefer. TV episodes are shorter (if you only watch one at a time :P) than movies. Honestly since grad school, I think my attention span has gone way down. I’ve noticed I get bored halfway through movies no matter if I’ve seen them or not.

Do you have a favorite music artist that you listen to about every song of theirs? If so, who?

Two Steps From Hell. Their music is awesome and it’s great for writing.

Is there anything new that you’re hoping to do this year?

There’s been some talk about a vacation for whitewater rafting, which I’ve always wanted to do. Hopefully that happens. 🙂

What is your favorite way to travel?

By car. I really don’t like flying or planes.
