Howdy!

Let’s just pretend like I didn’t disappear right after I launched a book. *sheepish chuckle*

I’ve employed the philosophy of a “soft launch” for this book, which means I hit publish and then basically went and took a nap. But it’s been fun so far! People have liked it, which has reduced some of the nail biting. 😉

Anywho! Today, I thought I’d highlight the main trio! I even made aesthetics, so you know this is serious. 😉

~Killian~

Killian is the younger prince and has spent most of his life “in the shadows” while everyone whispers about him. He thinks he can understand the wolves that howl in the forest around the castle. But he refuses to tell anyone since that will just confirm that he is cursed, just like his uncle before him.

But then a sorcerer stops by on his birthday, hears about the curse, and decides to place a spell on him to turn him into a wolf. Cue a cross-country trek with his older brother and a ranger apprentice to find the faeries before the sorcerer kills him.

Greatest fear – everyone finding out that he can hear the wolves, and then going mad just like his uncle.

~Lars~

Killian’s older brother. Prince and heir that doesn’t take his duties seriously and protests that there isn’t a curse. When Killian is turned into a wolf, he blames himself. He grudgingly joins in on the journey to Myrnius and faces some startling realizations about himself and his country.

(When I was watching Stranger Things earlier this year, I realized that our favorite mother of four is basically Lars. And I’m totally down with him looking like Steve Harrington. 🙂 )

~Rose~

Aspiring apprentice Ranger. Rose’s father has gone missing on a search for a sorcerer. She stumbles across a strange wolf in the forest and an angry hunter who happens to be Prince Lars. Buuut she and Prince Lars don’t exactly get along, until you know, monsters attack…

They’re all a ton of fun together. And Rose and Lars not getting along is just the best thing to write. 🙂 Of course Killian is doing his best to roll his eyes as a wolf. I just love these characters so much!
