Staying Courageous and Reading Books!

Hey friend!

I know you’ve been getting a ton of notifications recently from everyone you’ve ever subscribed to and their mom. But I just wanted to pop back onto this blog here to say HI! And check in to see how you’re doing.

It’s a very strange timeline we’ve jumped into, but I know that we can weather it all together. ❤

And what better way than with some new books?! My publisher Uncommon Universes Press is running a $0.99 ebook sale on their entire catalogue! So if you’re in need of some new books, just click the link! (The prices are the normal on the site, but click through to your preferred retailer and they’ll be marked to $0.99!)

Oath of the Outcast is included in this sale, so if you’re in need of a Scottish-inspired Fantasy full of snarky, stabby protagonists, outcasts, and overcomers, then you’re in luck!

I’m still working as my physical therapy clinic is still open and treating our amazing kiddos. I had a break yesterday morning, and headed home to hang out with my roommate for a bit. I picked us up coffee from Starbucks, and pulled up to find that someone had paid for our coffee! It was such a simple gesture but made me so happy and grateful that I kept the favor going in the hopes that I could bless someone else’s day. And it just served to remind me that even though we’re all separated right now, there are still people willing to put in the effort for a random act of kindness. ❤

And in the midst of all the craziness, I do have some more positives to share. I broke 60K on my secret WIP, and have accepted the fact that it’s going to be a behemoth of a story. lol! I can already sense it planning to start meandering in a slightly different direction than I intended, but it’s for the better.

I got lots of pieces to start planning the launch for Winter Spell (Book 3 in the Faeries of Myrnius series). I know I said this month in the prior update, but it won’t be at least until end of April. (This will teach me to try and plan things before I have all the pieces.) But I’m also planning some fun preorder goodies that I’m SUPER excited about!

Also – here’s the shiny new synopsis!

A half-breed faery. A war-weary princess. A quest to free three kingdoms from the deadly winter spell.

Constantly doubted by her ocean faery kindred, Tonya Freyr-dottir only wants to untangle the dormant ice and water magic within her. Then a strange attack makes her unleash a fierce winter on the land and sea. And she has no idea how to stop it.

Princess Diane serves faithfully at her brother’s side, trying to restore their kingdom of Myrnius after the devastating Dark War. Now with brutal winter wreaking havoc, everything they have worked for might be lost to famine and destruction.

Desperate to help, Tonya travels to the far north to unlock her magic, aided by Diane, as well as two land faeries: Dorian, a reckless healer and August, a mischievous warrior. But the north brings fresh dangers, unearths old wounds, and offers more questions than answers.

With doom threatening human and faery alike, Tonya must find a way to trust her new friends and release her magic before all fall to the fury of winter’s spell.

Isn’t it brilliant?!

I’m so excited to finally be able to share this story with you. It’s got a lot of heart and magic and a tiny bit of romance. I’ll hopefully be sharing a cover reveal (IT’S SOOO SHINY!) soon as well as an actual release date!

Until then, drop a comment to tell me about something positive that happened this week! Or if you need some prayer.

Stay courageous, friends!
