Howdy!
It’s time for another “Writing As Explained As” post since I continually promise to do these and then disappear from the face of the earth and don’t…heeeere we go!
Also I’ve been re-watching New Girl. It’s one of my favorite shows and it’s totally applicable to writing, as I have now discovered. Also, I could basically do this with Nick Miller gifs. ๐
Also, so for whatever reason the first two gifs didn’t copy in the same size as all the other ones, and now I hope you feel as awkward as I do about that.
Trying to take author photos like…
When someone asks you why you’re still working on the same story after several years of pain and misery I mean loving the heck out of your WIP…
Admitting the fact that your characters have run away laughing and setting your outline on fire…
When someone tells you that your book is the best thing ever…
Aand then their reaction after you killed off half the characters or something ridiculous *looks shiftily around*
Faced with the fact that you need to do another round of edits and you’re out of ice cream…
Basically reading over a first draft…
You when you discover that part that you loved writing and falling in love with your story all over again…
Prepping for NaNo (also that’s like in 6 days so what even??)…
Trying to convince “normal” people that you have a life other than the fictional characters that live in your head…
Trying to justify why you haven’t worked on your novel for approximately 8593487 days…
All gifs came from giphy.com
So there you go. And as always, taking suggestions for movies for TV shows to use. ๐
Who kills off characters? WHO???
…Ah.
Great post. ๐

I love your writing as explained by posts, Claire!!!!
Though *coughs* that one about your readers not trusting you for killing off their favorite character? I’m SURE you never would do that to your poor readers or beloved characters. ๐

Sigh. New Girl. I haven’t seen the last season yet for when I’m in a crisis and need something to cheer me up. Also, could totally relate to all, but especially the “Basically reading over a first draftโฆ” GIF Fun post!

Hmm, you wouldn’t happen to be the type who kills off half their characters, would you? *shifty eyes*
